Introductory Ceramic Wheel Session
Discover the art of pottery in our private introductory ceramic wheel session! This class is perfect for beginners who are eager to explore the world of ceramics and learn the fundamental techniques of wheel throwing.
What to expect:
Introduction to the Wheel: Get familiar with the pottery wheel and learn how to set it up for your first project.
Clay Preparation: Understand the importance of wedging clay to remove air bubbles and achieve the perfect consistency for throwing.
Centering the Clay: learn the essential skill of centering clay on the wheel, a crucial step for creating balanced and symmetrical pieces.
Basic Throwing Techniques: Learn the foundational techniques for shaping clay into simple forms such as bowls, cups, and plates.
Guided & Solo Time: Two hours of guided learning and 1 hour solo.
Firing & Glazing: At the end of the session, you can choose between diferent glazes for your ceramic pieces. After approximately 3 weeks your art is ready to pick up.
